Dream Part 1

The other night I had a pretty vivid dream and I'm still trying to get it all down on paper. It's not a dream that was terribly profound, but it hung with me all the following day. The images aren't as wildly fantastic as Ronnie del Carmen's "Paper Biscuit". And if I weren't in such a hurry to get it all down, the drawings would be better. (As it was, I ignored my family for a few hours over the holidays trying to steal a couple of hours to get what I did into my sketchbook). Hopefully, I'll improve as I finish the narrative (if you can call it a narrative).
The dream is as exactly as I remember it (except it was in color). I will continue it as I finish the drawings.

Hi Tim,
Thank you so much for your nice comments re: my blog. Greatly appreciate it!! Yeah, what you saw were some board samples for a sequence for Brother Bear 2 for DisneyToons in Burbank. I was on the show briefly before moving on to another project. Love your work, and your boards are so inspiring! Your last post was definitely moving. I almost felt the pace of the Fellini flic (81/2). Can't wait to see more. Look forward to coming back!

Thanx for the kind words, John! I really like your work, too. Very inspirational and pushes me to slow down a little and draw better.
Everyone should click over to John's Blog and see what I mean. His character designs are really great - Lots of emphasis on character and lots of emphasis on design.

I'm intrigued by your dream. Kinda sad, wondering how your dream ends.

Love the "Andy" cartoon, very phobic character - wondering if you're planning to do more follow-ups - would like to see more development..

I'm finding less and less time to draw this dream.(sigh)
But I'll get back to it.

The Andy cartoon (as well as the Alex cartoon) are from a series I did of how my friends and co-workers would die. They usually include large snakes, pirannas, shaving accidents, etc. Stay tuned!

Dreams can be interpted.
