The Eyes Have It... sort of.
Here's a little anecdote from our Big Idea's relationship with Universal Pictures during production on "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything - A VeggieTales Movie".
It seems one or two execs were having trouble imagining that Pa Grape and Lunt could emote properly without eyes. Evidently, they had missed the previous 15 years worth of videos. Anyway, they suggested that we add eyes to the characters. Of course we answered an unequivocal "no". But not before I took a couple of minutes to indulge my imagination to see what they would look like...

Well, we got a laugh at them around the studio.
By the way, I did Pa Grape with a pencil and Lunt on a Cintiq.

Hi-Yo Silver!!
This is a sneak preview of tomorrow's Drawergeeks entry. The final is in color, so you'll have to click over there tomorrow afternoon to see it.My first few tries were more traditional, and a little uninspired. I think I had too many images from my friend Ruben Procopio's incredible work, and I was subliminally copying him. All I ended up with were shortcomings.
So, I took a deep breath and dug a little deeper inside. And this is what I found.
(Check out Ruben's Blog, too.)
By the way, the Lone Ranger turned 75 this past January.
