Recently, I borrowed some painting supplies from my sister. I have wanted to try out oils for a long time, but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a set and find out I didn't like it.
So yesterday I spent a couple of hours playing around, getting the feel of the paints and scribbling on scraps of 4x6" cardboard. I did this sketch in about 15 minutes. Looking forward to trying larger works!
Since this is a postcard-sized piece of cardboard, I might stick a stamp on the other side and mail it to my sis as a thank you.

Love it! great job of course! I like oil paint.. it takes longer to dry, but i think its the best for blending. I use to stare at norman rockwells paintings for hours and hours and just be in awe of how he did those with oil.
